The City of Irwindale has completed the installation of additional traffic lanes on both the eastbound and westbound sides Arrow Highway between Maine Avenue to Azusa Canyon Road.

Traffic lanes in both directions in this area have been restriped and remarked to include a new third (3rd) lane in each direction. It is expected this work will significantly ease traffic congestion on Arrow Highway in both directions during commute times.

With this change comes new parking restrictions on both sides of Arrow Highway, as follows:

Parking is no longer allowed on the southside of Arrow Highway between Maine Avenue and Azusa Canyon Road. New "No Parking" signs and red curbs have been installed in this area.

Limited no parking restrictions are now in place on the northside of Arrow Highway between Azusa Canyon Road and Maine Avenue. No stopping is allowed in this area between the hours of 5:00AM and 6:00PM, with the exception of Sundays and holidays. New signs and curb markings have been installed in this area as well.

Vehicles that are stopped, illegally parked and/or blocking the new traffic lanes are subject to citation and/or tow.

Residents and motorists are asked to be aware of these changes and the impact on traffic and parking in this area. For the safety of the community, Irwindale police officers will be actively patrolling this area and taking enforcement action as needed.

Questions regarding this project can be directed to the City of Irwindale's Department of Public Works at (626) 430-2211.
