Redevelopment
Redevelopment in California is one of the driving forces of economic development throughout the State, creating 35,000 jobs per year state-wide. It has also created more housing units than any other single source, with the exception of the Federal Government.

Infrastructure improvements are also largely funded through redevelopment agencies, providing better roads, streets and public facilities.

The City of Irwindale has been active in redevelopment activities since 1973 when we established the Irwindale Community Redevelopment Agency (ICRA), with the broad goal of improving the quality of life for its residential and business population.

Through the creative use of private/public partnerships, the ICRA has assisted in the development of major industrial parks, commercial improvements, housing and public infrastructure.

The Agency is an active member of the CA Redevelopment Association, CA Association for Local Economic Development (CALED), the League of CA Cities, CA Contract Cities Association, and the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership.

We welcome developer and business inquiries!
