As members of the administrative team of the Irwindale Police Department, we are committed to the safety and security of our residential and business community. One of our primary goals is to effectively manage resources and provide our police force with all of the necessary tools and technologies that will allow them to better serve our community. To accomplish this goal, we are working hard to enhance existing programs such as our Community Oriented Policing Program to more effectively address crime problems and quality of life issues. In addition, we continue to utilize funding opportunities from competitive state and federal grants that provide the department with new equipment, and computer hardware and software that will improve our response to emergency calls, crime prevention efforts, and enhance safety of our police force and community members. We place an emphasis on training and maintain a level of training that exceeds that which is required by the State of California Commission on Police Officers Standards and Training. As we move forward, we will continue to work closely with our residential and business community to achieve the police department’s goals. As always, we welcome your input and participation in this endeavor.
